The Broadland House Old Girls Association

Scholarship and Prizes

Within both the Senior and Junior Campus of Launceston Church Grammar School

Broadland House Old Girls Association awards, (restructured to commence in 2024), are awarded to Launceston Church Grammar School students in acknowledgement of their achievements.

 

The Nora Beresford Prize $250                                                                                  

               Awarded to a senior student who demonstrates outstanding character and leadership.

Nora Beresford, a past student of Broadland House died in 1934. She was held in high esteem by the Hagley community where she assisted her father Archdeacon A Beresford, and was a valued member on many Launceston committees. The Examiner reported on the 10th April 1935 that the Broadland Ladies committee would donate £5 annually for a prize, to be known as the Nora Beresford Prize, awarded for ‘scholarship and leadership’ to be voted for by scholars and staff of the school.

 

Junior Campus

The Broadland House Old Girls Association Prize $100                                         

               Awarded to a junior student who embraces the life of the school.

 

The Broadland House Old Girls Association Art Prize $50                                    

               Awarded to a junior art student that demonstrates a commitment and passion for art.
